Our Story: From Inception to Division to Unity

Since it’s inception in early 90s, The Jalalabad Association of Georgia has a rich history, marked by both challenges and triumphs. In the mid 2000s, our community faced a significant division that created rifts among us. For years, we were separated by differences that seemed insurmountable. However, through the dedication and hard work of many, especially a new generation committed to unity, we have overcome these challenges. Today, we stand together as a united community, stronger and more resilient than ever before.

Our Mission

As a newly unified community, we are committed to supporting the Sylheti people in Georgia as they navigate the day-to-day challenges of life as residents and immigrants. We acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers yet, but we are determined to continue learning, growing, and supporting each other as we move forward. Our focus is on fostering unity, preserving our cultural heritage, and building a supportive network for our members.
